If I search "curl", for instance by looking at http://packages.debian.org/curl,
I find:

Package: curl 5.9-2 [non-us]
curl's current version in potato is 6.0 and it is no longer in non-us, since
there are now two versions, curl-ssl in non-us/main and curl in main.
