SATA Hard drive problem

Hi all,

I am experiencing a problem with my dedicated server which is using a 250GB SATA hard drive. Fdisk reports that /dev/sda1 is 241GB in size, but df –h reports there is only 877MB on /dev/sda1 (mounted as /) .. Output follows

erx-core2:/# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 250.0 GB, 250059350016 bytes

255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 30401 cylinders

Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System

/dev/sda1   *           1       30029   241207911   83  Linux

/dev/sda2           30030       30401     2988090    5  Extended

/dev/sda5           30030       30401     2988058+  82  Linux swap / Solaris

erx-core2:/# df -h

Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on

/dev/sda1             897M  278M  572M  33% /

tmpfs                 999M     0  999M   0% /dev/shm

tmpfs                  10M   44K   10M   1% /dev

Does anyone have any ideas? This is running on Debian Etch, running kernel 2.6.16-2-amd64-generic

Thanks in advance,

Kind Regards,

Jenna Raeburn
