adding gender field on debian developer's database (from debian-devel)



hello d-w,

so i'm interested in what you think here on the list about including someone's gender (i *think* that's what he meant by "sex" below) in the debian developer's database? has this guy never seen the list on debian women of developers and women in the nm queue? (see email quoted below from debian-devel)

i don't think it would be stellar to include a gender field, but that's just my personal opinion. i don't think it's necessary.

Maybe Laszlo wants to know which would be the proper pronoun reference.
It is better to ask and be certain than to err and offend.

Another reason to include sex in db.debian.org which seems to be easy to
implement, and not implemented becouse of uknown reasons.
