Hello all,
my congratulations to getting this list started.
Gabriele Pohl [1] told me about it at the LinuxTag 2004 [2] in
Karlsruhe, Germany, and I was quite excited about it. I think it's
not only a good thing but a neccessity, which eventually may lead
to a collaborative network towards women-oriented projects.
I'm obviously German, too, so please forgive my poor English as
it is not my mother tongue. Why am I on this list, despite being
male, I mean? There are a lot of reasons; I will state a few if
someone is interested.
In short: I think the IT world needs more women.
Of the logos at [3] I like #4, and #7 the most. Now, if I were to
say something about it, I would vote to have the sign of the Venus
in the foreground, superimposed on the Debian swirl. What do you
think about it?
