* URL             : http://www.jpilot.org/
* License         : GPLv2
   Programming Lang: GTK+
   Description : GUI app to view & edit your old Palm device's data

jpilot was part of Debian until a few years ago. It was removed from
unstable at the request of then-maintainer Ludovic Rousseau, back when
upstream maintenance had slowed and/or stopped. (Please see:
https://bugs.debian.org/938958).

jpilot is now maintained upstream again, in a non-default branch of
its official GitHub repository. The newest version is 2.0.1, which
now supports GTK+ 3. I myself, as well as some other people, still
use old Palm OS devices. It would be good if you could please package
jpilot again, so that we can enjoy the high-quality packages which the
Debian developers are known to produce.

jpilot depends on pilot-link, which is now maintained at
<https://github.com/desrod/pilot-link>.  pilot-link was removed from
Debian a few years ago as well (https://bugs.debian.org/938957).
pilot-link is mature and stable, but please expect at least one bug
fix every few years.  The pilot-link Readme file is very outdated;
I've recently submitted a pull request which fixes that.

Thank you for reading this!

The Debian files are still available

https://sources.debian.org/src/jpilot/ (latest update in 2017)
https://sources.debian.org/src/pilot-link/ (latest update in 2015)

Maybe I have the CVS (or SVN?) repository somewhere, but I am not sure.
If someone is interested I can have a look.

Bye
