Bug#961287: ITP: bootiso -- a bash program to securely create a bootable USB device from one image file

Dear Jonas,

Thank you for your proposition,

I tried to handle the packaging myself and even had a mentor review the first steps of my work. Despite my interest in learning more about Debian packaging and policies, I run out of time to continue the process, given my different investments in open source and professional work.

So please, go ahead! I would be so glad to see this program in Debian.

Thank you again,

I would love to have a sponsor to help me get in. I am curently taking
a look at Debian Policy Manual and other material to create a source
repository. If someone would like to review it when it's ready, that
would be amazing.

I might also be interrested in maintaining other packages in the
future, although this is not my top priority.

Bootiso seems a great tool, and I would love to see it in Debian.

If you would find it interesting to have the package group-maintained,
then I would be happy to help package and maintain it as part of the
tinker team. For info on how to get in touch with us, see
https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/Tinker

If instead you prefer to maintain the package on your own, then I
encourage you to seek sponsorship at https://mentors.debian.net/

Kind regards,

  - Jonas
