Hi Maitland,

thanks for picking this up. I started working on it, but then didn't
have the time.

I had already packaged libfec which is a dependency. There are some
forks that might have some interesting bugfixes; I'll share the URLs
once I'm back at the correct machine with the browser history. (Feel
free to poke with the package if it needs updates.)
