Did you see my question in my previous email regarding whether skopeo also works with the sjoerdsimons fork that we currently have in Debian? If it would, I think Debian would be better of with a single copy in the archive.

As commented previously, I update the package to the version currently
used by skopeo (56f3a63).
If you can upload the files tell me and i send you the build results.
If not please give me some time to find a sponsor to upload the package.
