Would be wonderful if you took on the task of encouraging more coordinated efforts among these independent upstream of in practice quite related tools, Zlatan. What we from a Debian POV can offer upstreams here is our ability to recognize patterns of where coordination across upstream seem to have a large impact. Simply sharing that is, I believe, a nice service we can offer upstreams, and I am really happy if you will do that, Zlatan. Suggestion for approach: Put together a wiki page documenting patterns of overlap in functionality, and then contact upstreams by email referencing that wiki page.
