directly cut-pastable in/from debian/control and debian/copyright ?)

Description: graphical interface to EMBOSS using Kaptain
EMBOSS.kaptn is a graphical user interface (GUI) for more than 200
programms of the EMBOSS sequence analysis package. It uses Kaptain, a
universal front-end for command line applications. EMBOSS is a
collection of high-quality free Open Source software for sequence
analysis. With EMBOSS.kaptn it integrates nicely into X window based
 desktops like KDE.

The maintainer of the Debian kaptain package is apparently MIA (no
upload since two years, most packages NMUed), however it is said in the
EMBOSS.kaptn package that Kaptain's upstream is planning a new release
this year. Kaptain is out of the scope of the Debian-Med packaging
team, to I would be happy if somebody showed interest in keeping the
kaptain package alive in Debian. EMBOSS.kaptn contains a patch to build
Kaptain with QT4.

EMBOSS.kaptn itself is mostly .kaptn and .desktop files, and therefore
is a low-hanging arch: all fruit.

Have a nice day,

Kaptain has not kept up with QT, and now we have jEmboss and emboss-explorer,
so I will not package emboss-kaptain unless a user requests it.
