Bug#515017: ITP: autox -- Automatically start X on boot

Package: wnpp

  Programming Lang: Shell
Description : Automatically start X on boot

This package contains a daemon that starts X upon boot on behalf of a user.
It is designed to replace X display managers (such as xdm or gdm) on
systems that only have a single user (ie, laptops/netbooks/embedded devices)
and therefore don't require the additional functionality provided by
xdm/gdm/etc. The traditional method for this sort of thing is to run
'su -c startx' from an /etc/inittab; autox is package-management-friendly.
It was written to be as fast and small as possible, saving precious ram
during runtime and keeping boot time fast by not loading large toolkit
 libraries.
