  :)

  Well first of all I'm *extremely* sorry that I failed to spot that
  you'd already filed an ITP bug against jquery.  I've created a package
  and uploaded it already - so it is in the NEW queue.

  What I'll do is wait until it is accepted, and then update it to
 follow your policy, which seems very good.  (But I'm not sure
 about how to handle the naming change.  Right now I see:

    prototypejs - JavaScript Framework for dynamic web applications
    scriptaculous - JavaScript library for dynamic web applications

  So on that basis, I'll leave it alone for now.)

  I'll also set it up such that we're both listed as the maintainer
 and both of us can upload.

  After that, if anything needs to be done, we can look at hosting
 via GIT/Mercurial.

  Does that sound like a good start at least?
