I seriously doubt it, but we might try. In any case we should have a
preplacement available, even if it's a different one than the original. Maybe
it would be wise to give upstream an option to have a say in the decision too?

I still expect that at some point in the future, amanith developers will put
the code GPL, and then the usage of amanith will be optional (it seems the
graphics are cuter with svg than with png).

Would it be possible to do it in a way so that, if amanith is available, it
uses it, otherwise it uses png graphics?

Then we should depend on vorbis-tools too or that is not neccesary?
