Bug#383316: FoF package for Debian

2007/2/18, Sami Kyostila <skyostil@kempele.fi>:
We'll contact Teosto and see which license would be okay with them. Tommi
had the objection that the Artistic License is a bit too software-centric,
altough I don't know if there are any well known licenses written
specifically for music.

There aren't any such licenses. Even the Creative Commons licenses
aren't written specifically for music. They were written with music
in mind, which is nice, but unfortunately they are not Debian-"Free".
The GPL works fine for distribution of music[1]. Since the game is
GPLed, the GPL would be the ideal license to use for the music as well
:-), but another suitable license would also be fine.

Cheers,
Jason

. They also mention you could provide extra permissions for recording
the music (I guess youtube would like that) and performance, but I
don't think there's really a need to.
