I don't think its necessary to upload a -2 for this (or even a good
idea). m.d.n allows you to reupload the same version for this sort of
reason.

To the OP, is it saying it can't upload as the server wont let it, or is
it saying it will not upload as dupload/dput thinks it has already
uploaded that version (without asking the server). This will be the case
if there is still an upload file in the directory. Delete this and it
should work.
