I just want to raise this concern in > advance. As a reference: The maintainer of kdevelop originially chose to rename the binary "kdevelop" to "kdevelop3". This caused several problems (Wrong entries in bug tracking systems, wrong help, and many many more) which caused him much grief. He finally decided to rename the binary again.
