I don't agree with you. This is a important package and a lot of users
need it. Another thing is that if you include it ASAP then it'll
receive more testing and when etch gets done it'll be really in a good
shape.

I can produze a package for it and maintain it if you don't want to
boring your sponsor while you aren't officially inside of project but
keep the package out with no reason doesn't look right to me.

Well if you colaborate more with the project then your process your
account faster since they will see that you colaborate, have time to
work and other important things so IMHO you should include your
packages inside of project ASAP.
