So I'll upload it.

There's also the problem that the package lacks documentation, but we'll
hopefuly get to fix this later on.

I found the sources for 1.6.0pre3 already, upon which my debian package is
based. I'll upload this for now and update it when appropiate.

No need for that. I've re-packaged it using more modern packaging techniques,
and I'll maintain the package within debian. If someone else wants to
participate in maintaining the package for debian, though, per'll be welcome
to and count with my support.

Ok. Btw, do you have a mailing list or BTS? If not, which is the appopiate
place to forward bug reports and patches from the debian package users?
