Ok. I didn't know that Claire had decided not to package the cm-super
fonts. I think that this might be a good time for me to learn how to
package things for tetex (and to learn about fonts for TeX in general).
I'm keeping the bug tracking system as one of the recipients of this
message for documentation purposes.

Yes, the lmodern package helps (and I didn't know it was considered to
be included in a future version of tetex -- nice to know that), but it
doesn't have all the fonts that I would like to have available (the
Concrete Mathematics fonts, for instance).

Anyway, is the new version of tetex expected to enter testing before
sarge's release?

Oh, and thanks for both yours and Frank's feedback.

Thanks again, Rogério.
