It currently cannot. As you stated, it may become support, the source of
noflushd contains a forked version of scsi-idle (scsi-startstop and the
patch) but completely outdated. Someone should review the whole thing
and merge the updates in scsi-idle into noflushd source.
I will contact the maintainer later and/or try to do this, but currently
scsi-idle works for me[tm] and the package provides working kernel
patches.
