Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

The current maintainer of cle, Greg Stark <gsstark@mit.edu>, is
apparently not active anymore. Therefore, I orphan this package now.
If you want to be the new maintainer, please take it -- retitle this
bug from 'O:' to 'ITA:', fix the outstanding bugs and upload a new
version with your name in the Maintainer: field and a

   * New maintainer (Closes: #thisbug)

in the changelog so this bug is closed.

Description: Wrap any command-line driven tool with readline
 This handy tool lets you use history and line-editing in any text oriented
 tool. This is especially usefully with third-party commercial tools that
 cannot be modified to use readline themselves. It's not perfect but it works
 pretty well.

Justification: Has been inactive for several months, other packages
have been hijacked; cle only had one MU (the initial upload) and two
NMUs since then.

These bugs are solved with the upload of 0.4-4, which is now in sid.

cle (0.4-4) unstable; urgency=low

  * Sponsored upload by Joost van Baal <joostvb@debian.org>.
  * More work from Peter Moulder:
    * Fix double-handling of `erase' etc. chars reported by
      Kalle Olavi Niemitalo <kon@iki.fi>.
  * Make wrapped program leader of a new session.
    Means it works with bash, dash, et al now.
    (The idea to do that comes from Peter, too)

 -- Lionel Elie Mamane <lionel@mamane.lu>  Tue, 28 Jan 2003 15:47:05 +0100

cle (0.4-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * Integrate patch from Peter Moulder <pmoulder@mail.csse.monash.edu.au>
    * Work with Unix98 pty's. (closes: #72884)
    * Diagnose non-numeric --size argument.
    * Prevent buffer overrun.

 -- Lionel Elie Mamane <lionel@mamane.lu>  Fri, 24 Jan 2003 10:20:59 +0100

cle (0.4-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * New maintainer (closes: #174555)
  * Bump up to Standards version 3.5.8.0
  * Move to section utils (closes: #149707)
  * Document a few limitations of the program
  * Acknowledge NMU's (closes: #100179, #72650)
  * Don't ship upstream installation documentation
  * At build time, move the included readline out of the way,
    to be sure it is not used. Fixes a "Fails To Build" on my
    sid system.
  * Move to debhelper V4
  * Add support for DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS
