There appears to be a minor bug here.
most-senior-member is not guaranteed to be a single person.
Please either use a plural term or fix the definition of
most-senior-member so that at most one person meets it.
The obvious case where more than one person meets it is simeultaneous
appointments of members, which seems entirely likely to happen.
