I'm not one of the release managers nor am I a glibc maintainer, so I
don't think that would be an appropriate action for me to take. I've just
been following the bug for a few years.
Since it's now in the process of hopefully being finally resolved, leaving
it at RC status has probably had a positive effect on getting it taken
care of (although I don't know if the severity of the problem warranted
that).

This is exactly why I believe I'll be supporting the resolution that
delegates this decision to the release team.
