So, maybe what I said was confusing.  Let me clarify it:

  We don't have to drop support for any hardware as long as there's a volunteer
  who wants to support it in non-free.

And that volunteer is not me.  It may be you, or anyone else.  As long as there
is one, SC #4 garantees that they can use the project's resources for this
purpose.
