I guess that's nice and all, but it's presuming quite a lot.

Grudge on my behalf or not, this involves working with a bunch of people
who variously (a) seem to consider everything I do to be some political
maneuver for some nefarious reason or other, (b) think it's a good thing
to use whatever means are available to get back at me for past wrongs,
(c) consider talking to me not worth the effort, or (d) who are now
fairly conspicuously offended with me after I've posted otherwise private
communications.

Given this is something I proposed pretty publically soon after being
elected DPL, I figure I've given my word to see that it actually gets
a chance of happening, however much unpleasantness or effort that
involves. But presuming this vote resolves for "further discussion"
in spite of the copious opportunities for other people to propose
definitive alternatives, I don't see much reason to be involved in it
further instead of leaving it up to the "further discussion" folks to
make of it what they will. I don't think there's any direct personal
benefit I get out of this, after all.

Cheers,
aj
