Here is the "you don't use these non-free packages, so you should not suggest replacements" problem that I feared. According to that reasoning, most supporters of dropping non-free support cannot suggest main replacements of non-free packages. Given that, I think that any such request borders on flamebait and users of non-free should suggest the main replacements themselves. For example: Manoj, what are the nearest equivalents of those two?
