Certainly. But Debian's at its best when it operates by consensus formed
of persuasion and argument, not when it divides into separate camps
that can't be bothered talking to each other, and try to decide issues
on weight of numbers, rather than good sense and good outcomes.

In particular, I think you're doing yourself and your supporters a
disservice by trying to avoid addressing important issues in this matter.
