RFC: Thinking about moving youtube-dl to volatile

Dear people.
I maintain a package called youtube-dl, which is a downloader of videos from
many sites (and, in particular, from youtube).
Due to the site being outside the control of the program, I am contemplating the
idea of moving youtube-dl to volatile. As I read the description of volatile, it
seems to me that this package would have to be part of volatile-sloppy, instead
of volatile per se.
As this will be the first time that I deal with volatile, I would welcome any
guidance that you may have, so that things go as smoothly as possible.
Thanks in advance for your comments,
P.S.: I appreciate being included in CC'ies, as I am not subscribed to the list.
