They are busy, but nice, guys... they will answer. :-)

Hmmm, ok, it is 600 lines patch, but we can certainly
reduce this, and now this may sound a little bit strange or
it could give you some extra work, but definitely increases
your change to get in via volatile (and probably to a next
stable point release), can you reduce the patch to the
necessary work of getting youtube-dl working under etch?

Looking to the patch, it will reduce sort of 100 lines
from the beginning and much probably some sort of regex update
would be needed, the bonus/new features would have to stay out,
that will probably avoid the man page change and great part of
the code patch.

We (as in Volatile Team) usually get in consensus on
the mailing list, similar to a vote, so I can be totally wrong
and Volatile ftp-masters would approve your patch just as it
is, but right now it looks more like a "backport". I'm in
favour of adding it with some cleaning to provide a package
like 2006.11.12-1volatile1 (and I would review and approve it
with the consensus of other and a smaller/simpler patch).

	"Above all, do no harm".
	Kind regards,
