What failed procedures are you referring to, so we won't try them
ourselves?

Forgive me, but my experimentation with WordPress ended more than two
months ago, and I did not keep my notes.

I did discover another blog engine -- called ghost -- which purports
to be search engine friendly. On the ghost mail list I explained what
I am trying to do, and was assured that I can do it easily in ghost.

Some ISPs specialize in ghost and offer a one-button installation,
just as many ISPs offer for WordPress. Regrettably, my present ISP --
hostgator.com -- is not one of them.

However, I found a web site design outfit which offered to install
ghost on my hostgator site at broadcaster.org, and to migrate my
homebrew site at gospelbroadcasting.org to the new ghost web site.

Going now with ghost, I am buying a "pig in a poke." However, my
recent attempts with WordPress 6.8 remind me why I originally
abandoned WordPress about twenty-five years ago. I started out with
the first release of WordPress, but the package rapidly grew in
complexity and constantly was demanding maintenance.
