The underlying problem is Caja gives *ONLY* 2 choices to open a file:

Today I wanted to about the simplest possible edit of a PDF.
Select a single page to be saved as its one file.

On my system the first option is to open it with Atril. An excellent
tool allowing one to read, search, or print the document.

The second option is effectively a pseudo-random list of all tools
ever
used to open a PDF. [Alphabetizing the list is uninformative.]

I would like to have three choices:
    1. view/print
    2. primary manipulation tool
    3. selection of special purpose tools.

I don’t use Caja, but maybe the 'caja-actions' extension package would
be useful for this?

Thank you
Syntaptic points me to https://github.com/mate-desktop/caja-actions
which gives just enough information to whet my appetite.

*UNFORTUNATELY* github speaks "developer" not "enduser".
https://html.duckduckgo.com/html?q=caja-actions was unsatisfactory

Can a caja-actions user point me something documenting the actual usage of the tool demonstrating whether or not I would find it suitable.

TIA
