I should have been clearer to you guys. Sorry about that. It is a Lenova Think Centere SN-MJO1ES56 and I have no idea what is inside of it since even windows won't load without a code, the problem is he cannot get to his email. It comes from AOL, verizon sold us to them. I tried to get to his email but he does not know his password. He is trying to use his phone to change his password. Until then I cannot even get windows up at all without the damn code. He will never do that again but he was trying to save some money. I can get into the CMOS and will see what I can find there. I will also look at the video about using a usb instead.

I have changed settings in the CMOS so that the USB would show up first. Nothing that I have done works. It just says no files to load and I tried many times. It is an older computer and it weights a ton. Can anyone tell me how to get Linux on this machine. Since I did not buy this one I have no idea what is inside of it. Hope some knows how to get around this problem.Hi, It is hard for us to help you unless you give us accurate details. It is hard for us to help you if we do not know exactly what computer you are using. "ThinkCentre" is not enough information. Please tell us the model number of the computer. Here are instructions how to find it: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht510152-how-to-find-serial-numbers-pc Here is a video how to boot a ThinkCentre PC from a USB drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8dZbcLFw2Q Please try to do all of the steps in the video, and if anything is different or does not work for you then tell us exactly what is different. It is hard for us to help you based on vague statements like "nothing works" and "it says no files to load". If you see any failure message then please tell us EXACTLY what the entire message says, and at what step in the process. Let us know how you go, good luck. |
