It’s not only KDE, it’s the complete system.
If only KDE had crashed I would be able to switch to a console and
restart kwin_x11 and/or plasmashell or restart sddm.
If only KDE and X11 had crashed I would be able to ssh into the
system.
The only thing I could do in such a crash is to try to sync and
unmount disks via magic-sysreq-keys and reboot (blindly). Sometimes
not even reboot via magic-sysreq-keys works.
