Re: OT: Best kind of distro for SSD?

Hi, I have been reading something around and thought the Debian

Seems to me that SSDs are more prone to deteriorate than classic HDD,
so, less the use more the duration, let's say.

I have been using HDD's for 40+ years and SSD's for 10+ years. Most of many dozens of HDD's have failed, many within 10 years. None of two dozen SSD's have failed.

Then, having to install a distro on a new SSD, I'm looking for advice:
is it better to use a rolling-release distro, a traditional stable, a
frugal installation, atomic/immutable, etc.?, maybe it doesn't matter?
What's the best kind of distro/system, installation and use, for an SSD?

Thanks a lot in advance and sorry to bother. Kind regards!

There are many factors to consider when picking a Linux distribution. I doubt SSD vs. HDD will be of concern. If anything, a conventional install on a read-write disk vs. a "live" install on read-only media is of concern -- some Linux distributions offer one or the other. Debian offers both.
