ssh to [username].dyndns.org

Hello, wonderful helpers,

I have used my dyndns account for years to access my desktop remotely.

As of a few months ago ssh hangs trying to access my desktop.

ping [username].dyndns.org works.

ssh [username].dyndns.org works.

and

ssh [IP address given by the ping]

also hangs.

Has ssh changed somehow?
