It shows you that warning because LibreOffice's support for opening and
saving Excel files is not perfect and does not support a few edge cases.
It should work fine though 99% of the time.

When it shows you that warning, there is a checkbox labelled "Ask when
not saving in ODF or default format" that you can uncheck to disable it
permanently.

Alternatively, you can go to Tools -> Options -> Load/Save -> General,
and uncheck "Warn when not saving in ODF or default format" at the
bottom.
