For two days I've been trying every command and solution to connect to a shared folder from Windows 10 to LMDE, but to no avail. Regardless of the Samba configuration, I can access the shared folder, but the authorization process isn't complete. Basically, I see the shared resource in the Windows console, but it doesn't appear in "This PC." Do you have a solution?

Thanks!

I'm confused.

You say you want to view/use a windows directory on your Linux PC, but then want to see the share in this PC which is a windows shortcut.

Before anybody jumps in saying this is a debian list:    lmde is debian with a mint repo that provides cinnamon desktop (which is developed by the mint team) plus Firefox, chromium a thunderbird that I have seen in almost 2 years of actually noticing.  I've also seen a suggestion that somebody on debian recommends adding that mint repo to a debian box to get newer versions of those apps. NOT verified though.
