I suspect that for my ancient toshiba things like
monitor-hdmi1
lgd
ultrawide
would not be used.  Are they for information purposes only?  And
-hsync and -vsync are the adjustment amounts to actually get the
display positioned where it should be?  They could also be + amounts?
