Microsoft WSL2 - if on Windows Pro - and Debian WSL image. WSL2 is sorted
by Microsoft and "just works" on Windows. Debian image can be downloaded
from Microsoft Store - there is another way to get images that are
distributable round a business but I'm unsure how that works.
Debian on WSL has an IRC list and is maintained by a Debian developer
as an official image. It's essentially the equivalent of a VM with
full access to Windows filesystem and networking.
