[sid] efibootmgr not working

Hi there,

I noticed recently that efibootmgr stoped working. On all my Sid machines I get the following:

# efibootmgr
EFI variables are not supported on this system.

But if I run Buster (the same hardware) then everything is ok. So this is definitely software problem. I also noticed that the
/sys/firmware/efi/efivars
directory is empty.

Kernel problem? Missing modules?

Regards Greg
