Thanks. But:

1) I'm not generally in private browsing mode, and I'm pretty sure that
I'm not in private browsing mode when the extensions disappear.

2) At least here, the extensions continue to function when I do enter
private browsing mode. I just tried it, and NoScript (for example) is
on the toolbar and working fine (i.e., making pages nonfunctional ;)).
