No, I do have Wayland installed but I'm running Xorg:
$ ps ax | grep xorg
39677 tty7 Sl+ 3:13 /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg vt7 -displayfd 3 -auth /run/user/1000/gdm/Xauthority -background none -noreset -keeptty -verbose 3
No Wayland running:
$ ps ax | grep -i wayland
48911 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep -i wayland
But when I try to remove the xwayland package:
# apt purge xwayland
