System Crashing Keyboard & mouse locking up

I have a newly built system using several distros incl Debian Linux & Windows10. It seems to have a hardware issue in all Linuxes. NOT Windows 10. The Keyboard & mouse are locking up randomly. I can't get it to duplicate, just occurs.
I have installed all the HID device stuff that I can find in every distro but that did not make any difference. Nothing weird about the hardware:
AZIO MK HUE wired keyboard
Kensington Pro Fit Full-size mouse wired
Debian and Windows10 on terabyte hard disks
3 other distros on PCI SSDs
it is a big toy designed for running CAD software
All connections are USB ports mostly usb3 though I'm not sure about the keyboard and mouse.
I have this same keyboard and mouse on another older system with Debian & Windows 10 runs fine.
Any tips where to start debugging the system and no I don't think its a software issue other than compatibility with some of the new hardware.
I just need a few ideas. I have been building systems for decades.
Thanks
John
