I think you'll find that displaying a file as hex and ASCII is pretty
much of a monopoly of hex editors. I don't know any other kind of
program that can do it. There are lots of them, and you're unlikely to
find anyone who is familiar with more than two or three.
As always, if you can't find a program to do what you want... there
isn't a complete set of programs, containing a program to do anything
you can possibly imagine. There would be no room in the universe for
anything else.
