i've followed your instructions

but i can't boot to stretch now

because i have changed boot loader

(it has nothing to do with your instructions)

step 4 can be changed to
cp /etc/network/interfaces /mnt/etc/network/

i am going out now and can't use home pc

i will try to solve it later on

PS: isn't this an obvious bug of installer?

1. Boot the installer just as you did before.

2. Stop when you get to the partitioning stage and switch to console 2.

3. Mount the partition to which you have installed stretch on /mnt

4. cp /etc/network/interfaces /mnt/etc/network/interfaces

5. Reboot.
