the best option. I believe, in this case it is calling aptitude, what is not
the best choice for a full distribution upgrade.
I suggest, to run
apt-get update
then
apt-get dist-upgrade
If this works, run
aptitude full-upgrade
When your system is fully upgrade, you can do all the upgrades with apt again.
