I didn't suggest that one could. Only that network driver choice is
crucial to network
performance in a virtual setting. Hence I wrote "For example".

You simply can't get good high-level throughput using e1000 under ESX.
But that wasn't the
point. Instead it was that driver selection and config can be crucial
in a virtual env.
