hello, sorry is this is not on-topic I'm not very good at sound.Sometimes if I watch an mp4 film the volume in parts is low but then there will become some sound event that is very loud. It is true that my hearing is not as it was but I don't think that is it. I'm not exactly sure what controls "volume" but is there software that will cut off the noisier bits at a level without affecting the rest.
