Thinking it over, I believe there have been some misperceptions on both sides.
I apologize if I sounded so harsh.

I can speak only for myself. I didn't get the same impression (inflamatory
rhteoric) from the bug report, neither did I mean it in my posts. It is true
that there are negative sentiments against Google, and I (perhaps OP too) may
have been somewhat reactionary in this, but it was about Google in the first
place.

I also need to clarify that my objection was about negligence -- or taking
privacy issues lightly -- as I perceived it, but I didn't accuse Debian with
malice.
