It can also be a good way to manage server farms, where all the machines in
the farm were setup to try booting PXE first, then hard disk, so that any server
can be (re)installed or booted into a special installation (security,
diagnostics, forensics,offline disk imaging,...) without physically attending
to them - which can be a hassle sometimes.
